20081124 FOTD and Guerlain Holiday Collection (Partial) Reviews

I LOVE this Christmas special compact from Guerlain - Ombré Eclat 4 Mysterious Butterfly. I also got the KissKiss lipstick in Strawberry Red and KissKiss lip gloss in Shimmery Pink (not shown) from the Midnight Butterfly Holiday Collection. First of all the packaging is exquisite! Metallic silver lavender surface with frosty butterfly image engraved, SOO pretty! The lipstick is in a very rosy pink color yet not overly powering.

As for the eye palette, the texture of the eye shadow is very smooth and satiny. The color combination is on the softer side of the spectrum. I did not dig but the white butterfly images seem only on the surface - it adds shimmer to the existing color.

Upper left is a white shimmery color, upper right is tan peach, lower left is bluish lavendar and lower right is a plum violet color. The butterfly parts add extra shimmer to the colors.
